A pair of doucai bowls

Reference: ART10041

The bowls potted with steep sides, and decorated on the exterior with a continuous design of bats and stylized shou characters between decorative bands of interlocked leafy scroll. Daoguang six-character seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1821-1850). A similar single bowl from the Lai Family Collection sold at Christies, 17 September 2015, New York, Rockefeller Plaza.

Condition: small restoration to the foot rim of one bowl.
