A Chinese blue and white 'ladies' jar with cover

The jar is decorated to the exterior with elegant ladies holding osmathus branches amongst flowers in jardinieres. The shoulder is decorated with phoenix in flight, and the neck is decorated with beribonned precious objects. The base bears an apocryphal Chenghua mark. The domed cover is surmounted by a ball finial. Overall height: 22.5 cm.
