Two Cantonese carved ivory oval brooches

The larger brooch is carved and pierced in great detail with a scholar greeting a seated lady with further scholars and ladies in attendance, all in an ornately decorated room. The smaller brooch is carved as four figures amongst pavilions and trees. Both brooches are mounted in gilt metal, the smaller mount is marked.

Condition: both brooches appears to be in overall good condition; minute nicks to the extremities as expected; unable to examine the edges under the mounts.
