The handle and hilt are decorated with dragons, the sword guard is decorated with a qilin, and the sword itself is decorated with a dragon to one side and a phoenix to the other, and with a four-character inscription in seal script. The sheath is decorated with two dragon-head protrusions for hanging, the rim is decorated with a chilong, and the length of the sheath is decorated with pierced cash symbols in silver filigree, with interspersed coral, lapis lazuli, turquoise and malachite-inlaid flowers.
