A pale celadon jade 'horse and monkey' group

The group is carved in the round as a recumbent horse with its legs tucked underneath it and a monkey playfully clambering upon its back. The stone is of an even pale tone. With a wood stand.

Catalogue note: the imagery of a monkey, hou, and horse, ma, forms the rebus for the blessing 'mashang fenghou', which means 'May you immediately be conferred a high ranking position.
