A Chinese cinnabar lacquer 'dragon' box and cover

The cover of the box is decorated with two confronting dragons chasing the flaming pearl amongst cloud scrolls on a wave ground. The sides of the box cover and base are decorated with chrysanthemum, hibiscus, and peonies growing from a leafy scroll. The interior and base are lacquered black, the base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
