A Chinese blue and white ‘scrolling lotus’ dish

The dish is decorated to the centre with a shou-character roundel surrounded by four scrolling lotus blooms. The rounded cavetto is decorated with further scrolling lotus. The exterior is decorated with lotus sprays, and the base with a stylised seal mark in underglaze blue within a double circle.

The interior is marked with a ‘yuan’ character to the centre.
