A Chinese yixing 'monk's cap' teapot

The teapot is modelled after a Buddhist ewer crafted from metal, the cylindrical body is separated into three sections decorated with applique auspicious symbols separated by a band of scrolling flowers. The monk's cap is decorated with pierced cash and chimes. The flat cover is surmounted by a Buddhist lion finial.
