The tiers and cover of the box are decorated with shaped panels enclosing archaistic dragons among scrolling lotuses and furthermore archaistic dragon figures. The gilt bronze handle is decorated with a key-fret band, and two gilt bronze openwork archaistic dragon figures. The grip of the gilt bronze key with a figure of a fu-bat. With a gilt bronze six-character Qianlong mark to the base. 34.2 by 21.6 by 14.7 cm.
