A Chinese yixing melon-form ‘prunus’ teapot and cover

The handle and spout are modelled as a gnarled prunus branch with light-coloured clay forming the flowers on the body. The domed cover is similarly decorated surmounted by a finial shaped as a prunus branch. The base is stamped ‘ye xin’.
