A Chinese iron-red-decorated blue and white two-part 'Eight Immortals' teapot and cover

The lower section of the teapot is decorated with two Buddhist lion handles and the upper section is decorated with a shaped handle and s-shaped spout. The exterior is decorated with the Eight Immortals on a ground of crashing waves. The interior and the spout and handle are decorated with five bats, wufu, amongst clouds. The cover is decorated with further bats and clouds and is surmounted by a floral finial. The base with an apocryphal Daoguang mark.

The teapot with a height of 18.50 cm. and a width of 14.00 cm. The lower section is of 9.00 cm. high and a width of 13.50 cm.
