A Chinese blue and white holy water vessel

The vase is modelled after a metal prototype, the vessel is modelled with long tapering spout. It is boldly decorated with ‘heaping and piling’ blue tones with a beaded band at the rim and to the body with flowers connected by a foliate meander, all above a band of stylised flowerheads above a lappet band. The knopped stem is encircled by a key-fret band above lappets. The spout is decorated with a stylised floral meander between two ruyi-head bands. The underside of the rim with an Xuande six-character reign mark. Attached to a wood stand.
