A yellow-glazed bottle vase

The vase is incised to the globular body with a pair of phoenix in flight amongst scrolling lotus between lappet bands. The neck is decorated with a band of upright leaves. The exterior of the vase is covered in a bright finely-crackled yellow glaze. The base with an apocryphal underglaze blue Chenghua six-character mark.

Condition: areas of restoration around the foot where it meets the body; a few faint hairline cracks to the base and foot stemming from firing flaws; frits to the mouth with some touch ups; the glaze by the foot is slightly uneven.
