A Chinese celadon and russet jade carving of a peacock

The peacock is smoothly and elegantly carved with its head facing towards its closed wings, the feathers of the wings are finely detailed. The stone is of a celadon tone to one side and a russet tone to the other. Provenance: From the collection of mr. J.E. Vaandrager
