A CHINESE IRON-RED AND YELLOW-ENAMELLED 'DRAGON' BRUSH HANDLE, QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)

The surface is decorated with an incised striding dragon amongst clouds and flame scrolls chasing the flaming pearl, all below a band of scrolling clouds and an apocryphal Wanli mark to the edge. The design is executed in yellow enamel on an iron-red ground.
