A group of five Chinese blue and white plates

The group comprises: a dish decorated to the centre with a ‘shou’ character surrounded by cartouches enclosing peaches on a fish scale ground, the border decorated with floral cartouches on a diaper ground, the reverse with further ‘shou’ characters and an apocryphal Chenghua mark; a dish decorated to the centre with a cartouche enclosing a lily blossom on a trellis ground, the rim decorated with eight flower sprays; an Islamic-market dish decorated with flower sprays and flower panels on a scroll ground; a ‘Joosje te paard’ hunting dish mounted with a silver swing handle stamped with a Lion Passant and a further mark, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark in a double circle; and an iron-red decorated blue and white ‘lotus petal’ dish, the base with a ‘Tai ji die ban’ mark, 19th-20th century.
