A Chinese wucai ‘dragon and phoenix’ pen box

The shaped elongated box is decorated to the cover and sides with a dragon and phoenix amongst ruyi-shaped clouds. The interior is decorated with further ruyi-shaped clouds, and the box base is split into two compartments. The underside of the base bears an apocryphal Wanli mark.
