A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PHEASANT SOUP PLATE, KANGXI PERIOD 1662-1722

The dish is decorated with a central ruyi-bordered roundel enclosing a pheasant on a rock amongst peonies, surrounded by branched flowers. The rim is decorated with pomegranate shaped panels infilled with a geometric design and floral panels. The reverse is decorated with three underglaze blue flower sprays.
