The pear-shaped vase is decorated with two angular handles to the neck, to the body with two peach-shaped panels enclosing scholars in a mountainous river landscape, the sides and neck are decorated with further landscape panels. The neck is decorated with a black-ground lotus band to the neck and a kui-dragon band to the rim. The tall foot is decorated with an archaistic lappet band. The interior and base are enamelled turquoise, the base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
