A CHINESE PEKING CARPET, CIRCA 1900

A Chinese carpet with a dark blue field with four flower sprays. The ground motif consists of sprigs of leafs, bunches of flowers. The corners are done with one large ivory blossom out of which are coming small blossoms and leafs in an almost geometric precision. There is a wide small minor border with flower heads on an ivory ground. The major border is wider with a flower and vine motif. 350 by 275 cm.
