A pair of large Chinese precious objects-inlaid ruyi-shaped panels

The large ruyi-shaped panels are each decorated in mirror image with two longtailed birds amongst blossoming prunus and flowers, all growing from gilt bronze branches, all amongst rocks and bamboo. The scene is executed in jade, lapis lazuli, soapstone, and mother of pearl. The border of the panel is decorates with a gilt acanthus leaf border.
