An American-market Cantonese carved ivory box and cover

The cover is carved in detail in high relief with a well-dressed gentleman by a large country house amongst trees and cloud scrolls in a mountainous landscape, all within a flower and pomegranate border. The sides are decorated with an uncarved oval cartouche surrounded by figures amongst pavilions and trees. The base is similarly decorated.
