A Chinese famille rose ‘Xixiang Ji’ three-piece teaset

The set consists of a teapot, a twin-handled sugar bowl, and a milk jug, each decorated with panels with scenes from the Romance of the Western Chamber (Xixiangji) alternating with bird and flower panels, all below geometric bands to the rims. The cover of the sugar bowl is surmounted by a gilt acorn finial, and the cover of the teapot is surmounted by a gilt peach finial.
