A pair of Chinese hardstone-embellished hardwood-veneered double-gourd-shaped wall panels

Each stylised double-gourd form panel is inlaid with jade, resin, mother of pearl and precious stones each with two characters reading 'huan de' and 'jia an' surrounded by auspicious fruits and flowers reserved on a red painted ground. Each fits into a veneered zitan frame of conforming shape, finely carved in low relief with lotus and double gourd scrolls and surrounded by a key fret border and a bat on the top of the frame.
