A CHINESE WUCAI 'FLORAL' BOWL, 17TH CENTURY

The bowl is freely painted in underglaze blue and vibrant enamels with four alternating blossoming narcissus and chrysanthemum sprays. The interior is enamelled with a flower spray. 17th century, 'Song shi zhai' mark in underglaze blue. 11.5 cm. Catalogue notes: The studio mark 'Song shi zai' can be translated as 'the Studio of Pine and Rock'.
