A Chinese blue and white 'pheasant and peony' vase

The tapering vase is decorated with a continuous scene of a standing pheasant and a pheasant in flight amongst flowering peonies, all below a reserve-decorated scrolling lotus band to the shoulder. The neck is decorated with stiff leaves, and the foot is decorated with a stylised lappet band.
