AN ATTIC KYLIX BY THE TLESON PAINTER, 6TH CENTURY BC

AN ATTIC KYLIX BY THE TLESON PAINTER, 6TH CENTURY BC

Reference: ART600729

A charming small Kylie/cup often called 'Little-master cups' from the well known Tleson painter. Here we have a very good example of his work with both sides showing facing cockerels, one of his favorite subjects. The piece is assembled from fragments but is otherwise in good condition. There is a possible grafitto on the inside, perhaps Phoenician.
Width: 20.5 cm.
Height 9.5 cm.
