A black serpentine scaraboid showing two leaping felines facing opposite directions. The felines(lionesses?) are shown in a schematic fashion, popular in the Levant in the Canaanite/early Phoenician period.
Such seals were in wide circulation around the time of the beginning of the first millennium BC. The use of scaraboid seals started to slowly supplant the use of cylinder seals.
