A CLEAR GLASS STAMP SEAL WITH FACING PORTRAIT, SASSANIAN 3RD-4TH CENTURY AD

A large glass stamp seal from the early to mid Sassanian Empire showing a bearded male bust facing, probably an official, with a long beard and his hair seen at the side of his head elaborately coiffured into balls. Two ties are seem each side of the head, no doubt attached to this head. A star and moon flank him in the upper fields. Transparent glass with a blue tint. 22 mm. diameter and 15 mm. high.
