A WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE SPEAR HEAD, CIRCA 800-600 B.C.

A heavy cast bronze spearhead with a broad rounded head and six narrow fins along the length of the head. Attached to the shaft by tubular element with two ridged rings. Such a weapon would have been used to pierce armour. Possibly attached to a very long shaft; similar to those used by the Macedonia army in their phalanxes.
Size: 34 cm. height.
Weight: 866 grams.
