A banded agate cabouchon intaglio showing Priapus in the form of a herm. The front of his body is exposed showing his phallus half erect. His cloak covers his shoulders and he seems to wear a hat. Such herms were very popular in early imperial times often placed in rows in the gardens of the wealthy.
