Showcasing the distinctive artistry of the early medieval era. The centerpiece is a cross-shaped pendant with intricate repoussé decoration, featuring raised studs and four inset garnet cabochons, symbolizing wealth and status. Above the cross, two large circular medallions, similarly adorned with concentric patterns and garnet insets, connect to an expertly braided silver chain terminating in cylindrical clasps.
The reverse of the pendant and medallions is plain, consistent with utilitarian designs of the period, while the overall craftsmanship reflects a synthesis of Roman influences and Gothic metalworking traditions.
