A round silver gilt phalera from the late classical period showing the combat of a cavalryman with a foot soldier. The horseman is attacking the soldier with a spear and holds a pelt, or cavalry shield in the other.The soldier is armored and is wearing a Corinthian helmet. The border is decorated with a wave pattern.
