A large pair of earrings from the Eastern Roman Empire, often referred to as 'Nabathean'. The earrings are composed of a number of spherical elements which are soldered to each other and further kept together by six woven gold wire strands which are attached to the spheres. Above a cylindrical element is held by the six woven wires and in turn to a large ring which is held by the actual earrings.
