A heavy hollow Roman gold ring with the bezel holding a stamper foil 'LEG XII FVL'. This refers to the twelfth legion Fulminata stationed in the Caucasus and the East for much of its known history. Such a ring might have been worn by a high ranking officer or the like who had served in the legion.
