An Ottoman silk and meta-thread embroidered calligraphic band (Hizam) from the holy Kaaba at Mecca, under order of Sultan Abdul Hamid Khan, dated 1307 AH/1889 AD.
To the center a large silver cartouche with rounded ends enclosing in gold wires, surah "the Hajj" (the Pilgrimage) verses 26-29 in thuluth script with the red designed band above and below. Further flanked to both sides with two circular silver panels with green background enclosing in gold wires surah Al-Isra verse 84, and Arabic inscriptions which mean ‘this Hizam is ordered to be made for Waqf by Sultan Abdul Hamid II, dated 1307AH/1889 AD
