An Keshan carpet from Central Persia, late 19th century. Wool on cotton, natural colors, hand-knotted, tight weave. Pointed oval medallion on a dark blue ground. Design also typical for the Esfahan region, but with other shades of red - these are corroded. Original all around. Good condition. Size 230 by 130 cm.
