Carving of unknown origin. Possibly Timor. Bought by Jac Hoogerbrugge from father Jötten Msc. Father Jötten was a member of the congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. He was based in Djakarta until 1998. He bought tribal art and sent it to father Akerboom at the congregation in Tilburg. See the drawing by Hoogerbrugge and his collection note. To Hoogerbrugge the origin was a mystery. Height : 64 cm.
