FIVE ROMAN GLASS MOSAIC OR MILLEFIORI BEADS, 1ST CENTURY AD

A group of five round glass beads with floral designs (3) and two have geometric patterns. These beads are thought be have been manufactured in Roman Egypt and are found widely in the eastern Mediterranean. the motifs are often found on later Coptic textiles suggesting a long term popularity of the types.
