An elegant Persian khanjar featuring a slender, gracefully curved, tapering steel blade, accompanied by a finely decorated scabbard. The hilt has a distinctive flared pommel and curved grip, both adorned with intricate engraved floral arabesques, scrolling foliate motifs and ornamental Persian calligraphy. The metal surfaces are richly decorated with finely worked patterns, retaining traces of gilding. The scabbard is similarly embellished with elaborate calligraphic panels and dense vegetal ornamentation, extending along its gently curved form. 412 gr. Length 44 cm.
