Arabic manuscript on paper, approximately 35 leaves, each page containing 12 lines of elegant naskh script in black ink, set against a fully gilt rectangular ground within a fine ruled border. Surah headings are written in large, elegant red thuluth script, while occasional marginal annotations in red indicate divisions of the text, including nisf and rubʿ. The compact format, refined calligraphy, luminous gilt ground and contrasting red rubrication create an elegant and particularly sumptuous manuscript. Housed in a deep brown morocco leather binding. Text: 5.5 by 11 cm Panel: 10 by 15.5 cm Inscriptions: The manuscript contains the Qur’anic text from verse 89 of Surah al-Maʾida through the end of the surah, followed by the complete Surat al-Anʿam and verses 1–77 of Surah al-Aʿraf.
