A finely executed Persian calligraphic panel in black Nastaliq script, arranged in bold horizontal lines against a richly ornamented ground of scrolling floral arabesques. The calligraphy is surrounded by elaborate polychrome illumination in blue, red, black, white and gold, enclosed within multiple ruled borders and an elaborate outer arabesque frame. 19 by 30 cm
