A fine pale green Roman glass ewer, with a rounded globular body, tall cylindrical neck and broad, elegantly flared rim. The vessel is distinguished by a slender applied handle rising in a graceful loop from the shoulder to the rim, and a low circular foot. The surface retains extensive iridescent weathering and earthy encrustation, characteristic of long burial, with areas of silvery and golden patination
