A leather Qur'an binding with a central gilt and polychrome panel decorated with scrolling arabesques and an almond-shaped medallion in blue and gold. The broad border is formed of cartouches containing inscriptions from Ayat al-Kursi (Quran 2:255), rendered in elegant Thuluth script. The design is enriched with gold, cobalt-blue, cream, and black pigments, framed by multiple ruled borders. Wear and losses to the surface are consistent with age and use.
