I, the undersigned, Mr Edward El Sha-Er, owner of the ‘Sha-er a Shaalan’ Art Gallery in Damascus, hereby certify that I have sold to Mr Jacques Vermeulen an oil painting on canvas measuring 71 by 50 cm, created by the Syrian painter Fateh Moudarres. This is a work created in 1994 and reworked by the artist in 1999, a few months before his death, entitled ‘The Memory of the Earth’. I hereby certify the authenticity of the painting, which I acquired personally from the artist.
