A finely engraved copper alloy bowl from Safavid Persia, dating to the 17th century. The exterior is adorned with a continuous band of elegant calligraphic cartouches, likely in nastaʿlīq script, set against a textured ground and framed by delicate scrollwork. The shallow rounded form rests on a small foot, typical of Safavid metal vessels. Such bowls were often decorated with poetic or religious inscriptions.
