A rare 15th-century Yemeni shield of circular form, crafted in hardened hide and reinforced with raised metal bosses. The surface is richly decorated with gilt elements and engraved plaques arranged in a symmetrical composition around a prominent central dome. The reverse retains its original grip system with leather padding and arm straps. Exhibiting age and patina consistent with its period, Diameter 24 cm. 929 gr.
