A fine enameled silver filigree censer, of spherical shape resting on a splayed foot with a cover imitating the form of Sultan Ahmed mosque featuring seven domes and two minarets, supported by three sinuous, slanted, S-shaped legs with twisted-rope design, resting on a rounded saucer stylized with silver filigree petals and inset with enameled flower heads, the exterior embellished with polychrome-enameled flower heads, mostly rosettes and carnations, painted in the tones of green, turquoise, white and pink, the filigree work mostly presenting conventional scrollwork and spiral designs.
Height 24 cm. Diameter 21 cm.
