A glass mosque lamp of typical form, the rounded angular body with flaring conical mouth, three applied loop handles around the body, decorated in blue, red, gold and green enamel with a band of inscription in gold thuluth outlined in red, the neck with scrolling tendrils overlaid with inscriptions in thuluth all interspersed by three roundels enclosing eagles, the lower neck with a band of vegetal interlace overlaid with alternating flower-filled roundels. Height: 23 cm

Inscriptions: Around the neck: surah al-Nur, verse 35, 'Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. His light is like a niche in which there is a lamp'. Around the body: bi-rasm Amal al-muzz al-alami al-mawlawi al-sultan al-malik al-ashraf," ordered by the Sultan, the King, the Learned".
