A SELJUK BRONZE OIL LAMP EWER, PERSIA, 12TH CENTURY

The lamp with a pear shaped body on a splayed foot with a spout of a curving form, the handle is attached to the main body and rises to the back of the spout with a thumb support. A simple decoration of a roundel enclosing an incised star of Solomon, an incised band under stiff leaves decoration, on each side of the mouth a roundel of a flower head. Height: 26 cm
